Privacy Policy

In short

Information the app uses

Your list of cards

The names of the credit cards you add, for example “HDFC Millennia”, are stored on your phone so Pickkard can compare them. Removing a card, clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app deletes the list.

Order amounts you type

When you type an order amount to see a reward in rupees, the sum is worked out on your phone and isn’t stored or sent anywhere.

Settings

Choices such as quiet hours, which apps get suggestions and light or dark mode are saved on your phone.

Permissions

Usage access (optional)

Used only for card suggestions while you shop. With your permission, Android tells Pickkard which app is in front, so it can show your best card a few seconds after you open one of the shopping apps it supports. This check happens on your phone, and Pickkard keeps a short list of the suggestions it has shown there. It can’t see what you do inside other apps, and it never sends us a list of the apps you use. A notice shows while suggestions are on. You can set quiet hours, switch suggestions off for one app or all of them, or remove the permission in Android settings at any time. Everything else in Pickkard works without it.

Notifications (optional)

Used to show the card suggestion. You can turn notifications off in Android settings.

Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports

To see what works and fix problems, the app may send anonymous usage statistics (for example, which features are used, which cards are added, which supported app a suggestion appeared in, and searches that found nothing) and crash reports (technical details about an error and the device model and Android version). They carry no name, phone number, email, card number or ID that could point to you. They’re sent over encrypted connections to the services that process them for us in the EU, and deleted after a year (crash reports after 30 days). You can switch them off in the app’s Settings at any time.

This website

pickkard.in uses no cookies, no advertising and no tracking. Two small choices are remembered only in your own browser: light or dark mode, and the cards you pick in the demo. They’re never sent to us, and clearing your browser’s site data removes them. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Sharing

Your card list and order amounts stay on your phone, and the anonymous statistics above can’t point to you, so there’s nothing personal for us to share. We don’t sell, rent or trade information. The anonymous statistics and crash reports go only to the services that process them for us. We would only disclose information if the law required it.

Your choices and rights

You can switch off suggestions, usage statistics and crash reports in the app, remove permissions in Android settings, or delete everything on your phone by uninstalling the app. If you have a question or request about your information, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, write to us and we’ll reply.

Children

Pickkard is meant for adults who hold credit cards. It isn’t directed at anyone under 18.

Pickkard is not a bank

Pickkard isn’t a bank and isn’t connected to any bank, card network or shopping app. Reward rates come from banks’ published terms, which change, so treat each answer as a guide, not a promise.
